Product Engineering Practices (2.009) is MIT's senior capstone class. Students are divided into large teams of 15-20 to design and manufacture an alpha prototype of a new product.
My team, Green Team, developed a modular card game platform for the blind: tatchi.

Class Structure
The 18 person team was initially split into two smaller teams for the initial stages and then the teams were combined to select the final product. I was on Team B and the final product idea came from Team A so it will not be seen in the next steps.
Brainstorming
The theme in Fall 2017 was "Super." The challenge was to brainstorm products that would make humans super!
3 Ideas
Narrowing Down Ideas
Our 3 ideas were narrowed down to two with sketch models and then narrowed down to the final idea after sketch modeling. Our presentations can be found below.
Final Product
tatchi is a modular card game platform for the blind. Most card games are inaccessible due to their visual dependency. tatchi comes with identical textured cards and programmable game play. Each card has an embedded RFID chip that holds the identity of the card. The identity is revealed by tapping the card on the centerpiece.
